Not every “35mm” or “40mm” door is exactly 35mm or 40mm thick. Small variations in door thickness can throw out fixed-size latch jigs, while adjustable jigs need to be measured, set and readjusted when moving between different door thicknesses.

The Self-Centring Door Latch Router Jig solves that problem by automatically finding the centre of the door every time. Simply fit it over the door edge, position the latch using the built-in centre-line notch, secure the jig with 2 clamps and route. No multiple jigs for different door thicknesses. One jig to do them all.

No measuring the door thickness. No adjusting the jig. No guessing the centre.

Latch Compatibility

The included latch face template is designed specifically for 57mm × 25mm latch or a 65mm x 25mm faceplate.

Additional latch face sizes are coming soon.

Router Bit Requirements

The jig is designed for use with a bearing-guided router bit.

The latch face template is 18mm thick, so the cutting length of your router bit must not exceed 18mm.

The jig uses the same router bit specification as our Door Hinge Jigs, allowing one router bit to be used across both jig systems.
